Taking design cues from the downhill-destroying Nomad, the Santa Cruz Bronson 2. 0 Carbon R Complete Mountain Bike is more confident dropping into aggressive fall-lines with its revised geometry and 150mm of VPP3 suspension. Following the trajectory towards aggressive design, the Bronson 2. 0 features a slackened head angle, relaxing to 66 degrees for extra composure when you're harnessing gravity into scintillating speed. Combined with a longer top tube, shorter chainstays, and a steeper seat tube angle, the Bronson 2. 0 exhibits a rally-ready persona that's certainly no slouch accelerating out of berms and hammering up steep climbs. Keeping its well-balanced feel was essential, so the Bronson 2. 0 retained 150mm of travel, allowing you to attack everything from slickrock desert trails to alpine singletrack. The big story is the revised VPP3 suspension, which features a stiffer box-section upper link and tucked away lower link to avoid rock strikes. This revised suspension platform benefits from increased small-bump sensitivity for enhanced traction when you're powering over roots and rocks. The Bronson 2. 0 Carbon R sports Santa Cruz's C-level carbon, which is every bit as strong and stiff as its CC-level counterparts, albeit with a 280 gram weight penalty. This carbon lay-up is exceptionally stiff for uncompromising acceleration for bursting out of corners and hammering up climbs. The R build kit gets your foot in the door with reliable components, all without emptying your entire bank account. It comes with a RockShox Sektor Gold RL fork with 150mm of travel and TurnKey lockout for firming up the front end on climbs and fire roads. WTB STi23 wheels are tubeless-ready out of the box, running a lower tire pressure for a smoother ride. Rounding out the package, Shimano Deore brakes deliver reliable stopping and the 2x10 Shimano drivetrain shifts smoothly through a wide range of gears.
