There are very few cross country style trails out there that are made up entirely of one type of terrain. Usually, there is a mix of the fast buffed-up smooth sections, some twisty tight stuff, and a pile of rocks or roots now and then. An appropriately skilled rider onboard a pure XC racing steed will do just fine, and if ''just fine'' is all you're looking for, then read no further. However, if you are looking to absolutely slay every XC, marathon, and long distance course out there, please stay tuned. The Scott Spark 930 has a 100mm carbon fiber mainframe mated to an aluminum swing arm and is equipped with a custom FOX nude shock. The shock and front fork are simultaneously controlled with a TwinLoc lever at the handlebar. Need to be locked out? The lever locks out both the front and rear suspension at the same time. Need some travel and traction to make it through the moderately techy stuff? The lever will open up the suspension to 70mm in the back and 100mm up front. To to go full squishy and get through the rock garden, one more click and you have full access to the 100mm front and rear travel. All this control without taking your hands off of the bar. No other Brand out there can offer this. Your Scott Spark 930 will arrive with Shimano's SLX 2x10 drivetrain. A tried and true set of parts built to go the distance and do so economically. Wheels are handled by a set of Syncros X-21 rims laced to Shimano hubs. Suspension duties are divided between a 100mm travel FOX 32 Float Performance fork and a Fox Nude shock while cockpit items are all managed by the good folks over at Syncros. Features Twinloc Lever System allows simultaneous control of the rear shock and the front fork. 3 lever positions give a choice of descend, traction, and lockout mode. IDS SL Dropout System is an interchangeable dropout system compatible with 142x12mm, 135x12mm and 135mm QR axles. Nude Shock by FOX is built specifically for the Twinloc Lever System, and will offer maximum performance while remaining lightweight. Adjustable BB Height is accomplished with an adjustable shock mount clip. It will affect the bottom bracket height by 7mm, while also affecting the head tube angle by 0.5 degrees.
