According to Ibis, modifications to the Ripley's carbon layup resulted in a frame that's now 12% stiffer at the bottom bracket and tougher throughout the entire frame. Ibis' careful carbon molding around internal bladders ensures that the frame retains desirable lightness, with the swingarm and clevis molded around foam glass microsphere cores to enhance their structural integrity without adding bulk.
